SDGs, year 1 of a 3-year journey
In 2023, Serviplast embarked on the certification journey for sustainable entrepreneurship aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is a 3-year process, and we have just completed the first year.
To start, we integrated our transformation approach into the core of the company’s mission by adapting:
- Our purpose: “Making society more inclusive and the world more sustainable.
- Our corporate culture, introducing new values such as “Resilience” and “Sustainable Innovation.”
- Our vision and strategy: Transforming our current professions to make them more inclusive and sustainable, and developing new professions linked to the circular economy.
Our priority SDGs
Next, we identified our priority SDGs and set specific goals for each:
- SDG 8: Achieve 80% of employees with disabilities by 2030.
- SDG 5: Achieve gender parity in management bodies by 2030.
- SDG 9: By 2030, new activities linked to the circular economy will represent 20% of revenue and 20% of hours worked.
- SDG 12: By 2030, reduce production waste by 50%.
- SDG 13: By 2030, annually reduce the carbon footprint by an average of 4.2% for scopes 1 and 2, and 2.5% for scope 3.
