In our previous publication, we introduced the new mission that our workers have chosen for Serviplast: “Making society more inclusive and the world more sustainable.” https://www.serviplast-industrie.be/en/make-de-society-more-inclusive-and-the-world-more-sustainable/
But how do we make the world more sustainable?
Because it’s not just about making a statement. We need to make this promise tangible, at the heart of our activities. With our teams, we have therefore identified the action paths to implement.
Our sustainability strategy has two axes:
- Transforming our existing professions:
- By integrating eco-design at the core of our expertise to help our clients design their products in a circular approach.
- By directing our professions towards the transformation or implementation of recycled, bio-based, biodegradable materials.
- By reducing our production waste and promoting their reuse before recycling.
- By reducing CO2 emissions linked to our production processes.
- Developing new professions rooted in the circular economy:
- We are launching a new activity of selective deconstruction on construction sites to promote the reuse of building materials.
What does this look like in practice?
In 2023…
- 40% of the plastic materials injected in 2023 by our Industrial Division were recycled materials.
- Our waterproofers installed bio-based sealing membranes.
- Our painters applied eco-responsible paints.
- Our cleaning technicians use eco-responsible products.
- Our pavers are testing bio-based fuel in their machines.
- Our gardeners are using grass clippings as soil amendments.
It’s a long road that we are walking step by step, humbly. But with ambition and passion!
This path of transformation is a crucial lever to give meaning to the work of our teams and to create their daily engagement.
Join us on this adventure toward a future where everyone has their place and where our environment is preserved for future generations.
